Position Overview
As an Unarmed Uniformed Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment at a large manufacturing facility located in Mebane, NC. Officers rotate through multiple security assignments during each shift, ensuring the protection of employees, visitors, contractors, company assets, and intellectual property.
This position requires professionalism, excellent customer service, strong observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while enforcing company policies.
Primary Responsibilities
Access Control
Serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by:
- Controlling entry and exit points
- Verifying identification and credentials
- Checking badges and visitor authorization
- Maintaining visitor logs
- Monitoring deliveries and outbound traffic
- Following escort procedures when required
Weapons & Intellectual Property Screening
Help protect employees and company assets by:
- Conducting screening procedures
- Preventing unauthorized weapons from entering the facility
- Protecting proprietary materials and intellectual property
- Enforcing site security policies
- Reporting suspicious activity
- Documenting violations accurately
Facility Patrol
Conduct routine patrols throughout the property by:
- Walking interior and exterior patrol routes
- Checking doors, gates, and restricted areas
- Identifying safety hazards
- Monitoring for suspicious activity
- Preventing unauthorized access
- Reporting maintenance or security concerns
Surveillance & Incident Response
Support facility operations through proactive security monitoring by:
- Monitoring surveillance cameras and alarm systems
- Responding to alarms and calls for service
- Professionally de-escalating situations
- Preparing detailed incident reports
- Completing daily activity reports
- Communicating with supervisors and site management
