Position Overview
The Armed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through a highly visible professional armed presence.
This position combines physical security, access control, surveillance monitoring, visitor management, counter-surveillance, and rapid emergency response while maintaining exceptional customer service and strict adherence to all federal, state, and company regulations.
Candidates must possess prior law enforcement and/or military experience and demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and exceptional situational awareness.
Primary Responsibilities
Access Control & Visitor Management
Protect the facility through professional access control procedures by:
- Controlling employee and visitor entry points
- Verifying credentials and identification
- Issuing and recovering visitor badges
- Monitoring contractors and vendors
- Enforcing security policies
- Preventing unauthorized access
- Reporting suspicious activity immediately
Surveillance & Security Monitoring
Maintain continuous awareness through advanced security systems by:
- Monitoring CCTV surveillance systems
- Observing alarm panels
- Identifying suspicious activity
- Monitoring security anomalies
- Conducting interior and exterior patrols
- Maintaining facility integrity
Counter-Surveillance & Threat Detection
Help prevent security incidents before they occur by:
- Identifying hostile surveillance behaviors
- Detecting suspicious persons or vehicles
- Recognizing behavioral threat indicators
- Reporting potential security threats
- Coordinating with supervisors
- Assisting law enforcement when necessary
Armed Security Operations
Serve as a professional armed security officer by:
- Carrying assigned firearm and duty equipment
- Maintaining a professional uniformed appearance
- Following use-of-force policies
- Responding to emergencies
- Protecting personnel and property
- Remaining alert in high-security environments
- Supporting emergency response operations
Reporting & Professional Conduct
Maintain accurate documentation and professionalism by:
- Completing detailed incident reports
- Preparing daily activity reports
- Protecting confidential information
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintaining exceptional customer service

Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Armed Security Guard Registration
- First Aid Certification
- CPR Certification
- AED Certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
